MATTPOISETT — The Lions Club took the chance to honor some of its own on May 8 with a dinner at the Inn on Shipyard Park.
Organizers surprised Kimberly Ray, Robert Haley, Robert Moore, Helene Rose and Tommy Muldoon by awarding them with the Melvin Jones Award, named after the founder of the Lions Club. The award is considered the highest honor that Lions Club members can get.
