Mattapoisett Lions receive humanitarian service awards

On Jan. 10, the Mid-Winter Conference of District 335, Lions Clubs International was held at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor in Plymouth.
International Association of Lions Clubs President Barry J. Palmer of Australia was the guest speaker and presented six Mattapoisett Lions with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
The recipients earned this award, among the highest in Lionism, for their dedication earned to humanitarian services within their community.
