MATTAPOISETT — The Lions Club will provide two $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors or homeschooled students in Mattapoisett, Marion or Rochester. Applications for the scholarships are due March 21. 

The funds for the Peter Hodges Memorial Scholarship are raised through fundraisers held by the Mattapoisett Lions Club throughout the year, including Harbor Days, an annual arts and craft Festival held in Shipyard Park every third weekend of July.

To qualify, a graduating student or homeschooled student shall be a resident of the tri-town, have demonstrated service to the community, and be accepted their first year of a recognized institution of higher education.
