Mattapoisett native Hoyt Hottel will speak at the Mattapoisett Historical Society on Tuesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m., as part of the Historical Society's "Arts Seminar Series."

Hottel works in a number of mediums, including hand-blown glass, painting and photography.

He is the owner of "Xtremely Board," a shop in Dartmouth that sells surf, snow and skateboards. For years, Hottel was a professional snowboarder, and was the 1993 national amateur champion.
