Mattapoisett Neck Road repairs to go to Fall Town Meeting
Oct 10, 2012
The Neck Road sewer project in Mattapoisett has left the roads in need of repair, but Selectmen hope to see it smoothed over this spring.
“We’re looking at the Fall Warrant,” said Town Administrator Mike Gagne. “We would need to have the funding secured.”
Selectman Paul Silva said the cost for repairs is estimated at $220,000 but some of the funding could come from the $70,000 saved by the Highway Department’s road repairs in the village this summer.
“By doing this now, we ended up a lot further ahead than if we waited,” said Silva.
Mattapoisett's Fall Town Meeting is scheduled for November 19.
