Flag Football

Flag football is open for kids ages 6 to 13 years old. Practice and games are on Sundays from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and runs Sept. 16 to Nov. 14 at Tabor Academy’s football field. Through a partnership with NFL Play60, children will learn the fundamentals of football in a safe environment. Each week there will be drills and skills followed by a five versus five flag football game. Each player will receive a NFL flag football jersey and flag belt. Cost is $95. Registration deadline is Sept. 9. Register by Sept. 4 to have Patriots jersey for first session.

Fit Kid

Fit Kid is open to kids in grades kindergarten through third and is on Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. at Center School. The program runs from Oct. 2 to Nov. 20.

Join Mr. C. for a new session of Kid Fit. Classes are designed to increase physical fitness and expend some energy all while having fun. Different games and sports will be played each week. Cost for an eight week session is $105. The registration deadline is Sept. 25.

BSGA Gymnastics and Tumbling

BSGA Gymnastics and Tumbling classes are for children ages 5 and up on Fridays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. and 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. at Old Hammondtown and runs Sept. 21 to Nov. 30. BSGA’s Gymnastics and/or Tumbling classes are perfect for beginner gymnasts as well as students with previous gymnastics experience. Gymnastic covers four events: floor tumbling, balance beam, bars and vaulting. Tumbling classes work solely on floor/tumbling skills. This is an eight week session. Cost is $155. Open registration is from Aug. 30 to Sept. 16.

Fencing

Fencing classes are offered on Monday evenings at Center School for kids ages 7 to 11 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Classes for kids ages 10 to 14 are held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Adult fencing will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Program runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 10 at Center School Gym.

Blackstone Valley Fencing Academy will teach children the basic techniques and language of fencing. The goal is to promote self-confidence and self-reliance as a fencer and an individual. All equipment is provided during this eight week session. Cost $165. Registration deadline is Oct. 8.

Center Stage Kids

The Center Stage Kids drama program is for children ages 5 to 12. On Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. at Center School and runs from Oct. 3 to Nov. 28. Children will learn various aspects of the performing arts and will participate in a theatrical production on the last day of the eight week session. Cost is $105. Registration deadline is Sept. 26.

Crafting - More than Just Art

Crafting - More than Just Art is for kids in first through third grade on Mondays from 2:45 to 4 p.m. at Center School and runs from Sept. 17 to Nov. 19. Each week art creations will be related to a theme. This eight week session costs $85  and registration deadline is Sept. 10.

Golf lessons at the Bay Club

Golf lessons at the Bay Club is open to kids ages 8 and older. Sessions are on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. from  Sept. 6 - 27 at The Bay Club. Join the Bay Club’s PGA professionals for a four week session offering instruction on the fundamentals of golf. Session 1 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. is for advanced juniors that have played nine holes before. Session 2 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. is for newer junior golfers and will be more instructional. Sign up online to avoid being waitlisted. Cost is $105. Registration deadline is Sept. 1.
