MATTAPOISETT — As society becomes more and more aware of the need to practice the 3 R’s — reduce, reuse and recycle, children will learn some crafting ideas on how to use materials that were heading for the trash. 

During this eight week Mattapoisett Recreation Maria Lynch will ask children to collect items such as tin cans, glass jars, toilet paper rolls, plastic water bottles, and old clothes so they can evolve them into fun crafting projects. 

This program is perfect for children in grades K-3, and will run on Mondays from Feb. 11 to April 8 from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Center School cafeteria. The class costs $85 per participant with a ten dollar discount on registration for sibling sign ups.
