Rower Carolyn Foley of Mattapoisett recently competed in the 2014 C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Championship held Sunday, Feb. 16 in Boston University’s Agganis Arena.

The event, also known as the “Charles River All Star Has-Beens,” attracts rowers from around the world to participate.

Foley, a junior at Bishop Stang High School, finished the two-kilometer race with her personal best time of 07:47.0 and placed 84th out of 239 rowers in her junior open class.

She joined rowers from the South Coast who are members of The New Bedford Rowing Center. The center had adults and youth compete in the indoor race. Foley also serves as the rowing center's girls captain. For more details on event, visit www.crash-b.org.
