With the highest scallop population since 2008 in Mattapoisett Harbor, Selectmen have approved an extension to scallop season. The season will now go until the end of April.

Under recommendation of Natural Resources Officer Kathy Massey, everything except the inner harbor, from Mansfield’s Pier to Ned’s Point, is open.
