Mattapoisett shares voting information for state primaries
MATTAPOISETT — The town clerk of Mattapoisett, Catherine Heuberger, has shared additional information regarding the Massachusetts primary election on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Mattapoisett voters will cast ballots at Old Hammondtown School at 20 Shaw St. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
At the request of school administration and local public safety officials, the gymnasium, rather than the cafetorium, will be used for polling. As a result, voters will utilize different doors to enter and exit the school.
There are plans to have adequate signage to assist voters with the new traffic pattern.
Voters using mail or absentee ballots are asked to return as soon as possible by placing ballots in the drop box on the front lawn of town hall. Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. Sept. 3 to be counted. Do not bring early or absentee ballots to the polls on election day.
