MATTAPOISETT — Residents and candidates may not be able to get into Town Hall to get or return nomination papers while it is closed because of coronavirus concerns, but Mattapoisett Town Clerk Catherine Heuberger is making extra accommodations to be sure that candidates don’t miss a chance to run. 

In a notice sent out on March 18, Heuberger said that she was “ready and willing” to meet with candidates outside of Town Hall to make sure that they received their papers. 

The last day to take out papers will be Friday, March 27 at 5 p.m. The last day to return papers is Tuesday, March 31 at 5 p.m. 

Candidates may mail papers back to Town Hall, or leave them in the drop box at the back of the building.
