Mattapoisett Town Election May 21, nomination papers available

Mattapoisett’s annual town election will be May 21. Nomination papers are now available, including one position for Selectmen. Incumbent Selectman Jordan Collyer has already put his hat in for a fourth term.

“We have a really good board right now. We’re doing a heck of a lot,” said Collyer. He said the town is in a good place, and he wants to continue improving the town’s financial standing as well as infrastructure.

The following positions are also open:

Incumbent: Charles Motta
Incumbent: Gerald Johnson

Old Rochester Regional District School Committee, one position
Incumbent: Michael Pellegrino

Incumbent: Paul H. Magee
Incumbent: Kenneth R. Pacheco

Board of Health, one position
Incumbent: Daniel C. Lee Jr.

Trustee of Public Library, two positions
Incumbent: James T. Dildine
Incumbent: Mary F. Magee

Moderator, one position
Incumbent: John A. Eklund

Housing Authority, one position
Incumbent: Margaret M. DeMello

Community Preservation Committee, two positions
Incumbent: William O. Hall
Incumbent: Michelle Hughes

Herring Inspector, one position
Incumbent: Robert A. Martin

Tree Warden, one position
Incumbent: Roland J. Cote

The last day to take out papers is March 29, and the last day to file papers is April 1. The last day to register to vote is May 1.
