Mattapoisett town election results
Incumbent Patrick LeClair and newcomer Rachel Westgate secured two seats on the Mattapoisett School Committee in one of the few contested elections in Tuesday's town election.
Both teachers, LeClair received 326 votes and Westgate 310, while contender Daniel Wright came in third with 175 votes.
There was also a three-way race for two seats on the Community Preservation Committee. Incumbents Jodi Bauer and John DeCosta held onto their seats with 434 and 383 votes, respectively. James Layton received 102 votes.
Long-time Tree Warden Roland Cote kept his position securing 414 votes compared to 83 for his challenger Michael King.
The remaining seats were uncontested.
Selectman Jordan Collyer received 393 votes. Timothy O'Connnor received 83 votes, but withdrew from the race several weeks ago due to health concerns.
The remaining results are as follows: Old Rochester Regional District School Committee, Faust Fiore, 384; assessor, incumbent Cary LeBlanc, 417; Mattapoisett Library trustees, incumbent James Dildine, 388, and incumbent Mary Magee, 432; moderator, Jack Eklund, 418; water/sewer commissioner, Dana Barrows, 412; Board of Health, incumbent Kenneth Dawicki, 419, Planing Board, incumbent Karen Field, 419; Mattapoisett Housing Authority, Leda Kim, 398; constable, incumbent Paul Magee, 439, and incumbent Kenneth Pacheco, 402; and herring inspector, incumbent Robert Martin, 432.
Voter turnout was 11 percent or 516 people of 4,753.
