Mattapoisett Women’s Club is offering three, $1,000 scholarship awards to Mattapoisett residents who are high school seniors graduating in June 2013. The returning student scholarship award is for $750.

This award is designed for a student who is re-entering to the academic world after graduating prior to 2013, and is in pursuit of a post secondary degree program.

To apply and obtain the scholarship applications, contact the guidance offices at the local high schools or preparatory schools. Both applications will be available. Applicants must be a Mattapoisett resident. Those who are a member of the Women’s Club, or have a family member in the club, will also be considered. Deadline for returning the completed application is April 30.

The following schools will be participating: Old Rochester Regional High School, Bishop Stang High School, Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, and Tabor Academy.

The scholarships winners will be announced at the schools awards' night prior to graduation. The actual money from the scholarship will be granted after the first successfully completed semester in college. For more information, contact the Women’s Club at P.O. box 1444, Mattapoisett, MA 02739.
