MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett YMCA is holding the third annual “Buoy Tree Lighting” on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m.

The evening will include food trucks, family-friendly crafts, beer and wine, and desserts. Admission is free.

“Celebrate the holiday season with the community while enjoying holiday festivities and the beautiful buoy tree lighting,” an announcement said. “Bring the whole family for a joyful start to the season!”

Buoys can also be ordered for decorating and adding to the tree. Buoys can be painted or decorated in a variety of ways — sports logos, business names, messages, colors, etc. Buoys can be also donated in honor of someone. Cards will be sent to the recipient.

Buoys are $50, and funds raised go toward YMCA Southcoast’s annual campaign.
