Music from Land's End begins July 26

Music from Land’s End Wareham returns to Wareham and Marion this summer with internationally acclaimed violinist and Wareham summer resident Ariadne Daskalaskis.

The music festival runs from July 26 to Aug. 1 and features a number of respected artists.

Daskalakis is an internationally performing violin soloist who has performed with the Prague, English and Cologne Chamber Orchestras, among many others. Born in Boston, she studied at the New England Conservatory Prep School and later at Juilliard School. She is currently the artistic director of the European Academy of Music and Art “Palazzo Ricci” in Montepulciano, Italy,

German conductor, composer, and violinist/violist Sebastian Gottschick will also join the festival. He teaches at Cologne Conservatory and has conducted in Venice, Berlin, Lisbon, Berlin, Munich and other cities. His work will be performed on Friday and Saturday.

Nina Tichman, acclaimed as one of the leading pianists of her generation and a professor of piano at Cologne Conservatory, will join Gottschick and fellow Cologne Conservatory professor and pianist Anthony Spiri.

Cellist Paige Riggs will make her return to Land’s End from her home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she is a teacher and performer.
