Tri-town schools will have a new school business administrator after going almost an entire school year without one, following the unexpected resignation of Catherine Antonellis in October.

The Joint School Committee approved Patrick Spencer at its meeting on Monday night.

Spencer is currently the business administrator for Salem Academy Charter School. Prior to that, he was the assistant school business administrator at Wellesley Public Schools and held the position of district accountant in the Minuteman Regional School District for more than 25 years.

Spencer has a master's of business administration from Framingham State University and a bachelor's in accounting from Bentley College in Waltham.
