No new covid cases in the Tri-Town

Jun 24, 2021

For the first time since August 2020, no new covid cases were reported anywhere in the Tri-Town during the week leading up to June 24.

In addition, all three towns have now had a “gray” covid risk designation for four-straight weeks, meaning that the two-week case total in each town has been under 10 for as long.

Vaccination rates also increased slightly in all three towns from the week of June 10. Marion and Mattapoisett have 72% of their respective residents fully vaccinated, up from 71% the previous week. While Rochester improved to 54%, a 1% increase.

The rate of residents with their first shots also saw a marginal increase in two of the three towns. Marion now has 81% of its residents with at least one dose, up from 80%. Mattapoisett held steady at 80% with a single dose. And Rochester rose to 60% from 59% the previous week.
