Norm Hills is the best candidate for selectman

May 6, 2017

To the Editor:

We support Norm Hills for Selectman because of his thoughtful contributions to the town committees he has served and his willingness to work for the town. In recognition of his service and his cooperative approach he has often been voted chair or secretary of the committees he has served. Time and again Norm has volunteered to work for Marion, whether on the Planning Board, the Conservation Commission, the Energy Management Committee, or Capital Improvements Planning Committee.

Whether it’s a single-handed effort to save critical town records, or fighting for the Solar Bylaw, or contributing hours to the renovation of the former VFW building, or organizing the effort to produce our new Master Plan, Norm has been right there for Marion.

No other candidate is as well prepared to choose the most cost effective solution for our wastewater treatment plant, to address the costly leaks in our sanitary sewers, to fight for the regular maintenance of our town buildings and infrastructure, and to confront the town’s serious budget challenges. We urge Marion voters to get to the polls on May 12 and elect Norm Hills.
