ROCHESTER — Parents with students who attend Old Colony Regional Vocational High School received a letter on March 2 from Superintendent-Director Aaron Polansky and School Nurse Debra Levesque that addressed the precautions that the school is taking to prevent a coronavirus outbreak in the Tri-Town.

“We remain deeply committed to student and staff wellness and will continue to share new information with you, as necessary, about this evolving situation,” said Polansky and Levesque in the letter. 

Old Colony is in close communication with local board of health officials and pediatricians, as well as the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and School Unit. 

The school’s facilities department will sanitize the school as they regularly do during the cold and flu season.

Polansky and Levesque also recommended general precautions, such as washing hands regularly, keeping students home if they feel ill and avoiding contact with anyone who is sick.
