Old Rochester District reports four new covid cases

Four new covid cases were reported in The Old Rochester Regional School district press releases between Dec. 3 and 4, bringing the district total to 29 since its Sept. 16 reopening. 

On Dec. 3, cases were reported at the Old Rochester Regional High school and the junior high, with a third case coming from Sippican School. 

On Dec. 4, another case was reported at the junior high. 

Contact tracing for each case is being conducted, and close contacts will be notified by their respective Board of Health. 

ORRHS currently has 25 students and staff in quarantine. The junior High has seven quarantined students and staff, and Sippican school has three. 

ORRHS has had nine positive cases according to the district’s covid dashboard, the most in the district. Sippican School has had eight cases and the junior high has had five.

All schools will continue operations as normal at the recommendations of the Marion and Mattapoisett Boards of Health, according to the district press releases.
