Old Rochester educators recognized for service
MATTAPOISETT — Old Rochester School District educators were recognized this week for their contributions to the district.
Each year, the Plymouth County Educators Association awards its members for significant service in the following areas: professional service, community service, and association service. The Plymouth County Educators Association also recognizes staff members who are making a difference in their first few years of service.
Members are nominated by a colleague to receive one of these awards. This year, the Old Rochester Professional Educators Association acknowledged 10 staff members who received awards at the 63rd annual Plymouth County Educators Association awards celebration on Monday, May 22 at Bridgewater State University.
The following Old Rochester Regional School District educators were recognized with Honor Awards:
Kate Butler, art teacher at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Teresa Camara, special education teacher at Center School.
Danielle Dore, special education teacher at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Mike Janicki, guidance counselor at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Kris Lincoln, teacher of the visually impaired in the Old Rochester Regional School District
Anna MacMillan, paraprofessional at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Marybeth Mathieu, paraprofessional at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Deb Threlfall, special education administration assistant at Old Rochester Regional High School.
The following educators were recognized with “Rookie of the Year” awards:
Allison Lima, physical education teacher at Old Rochester Regional High School.
Colleen Morehouse, remote teacher at Old Rochester Regional Junior High School.
