Old Rochester Regional High School’s seniors will be going the distance for prom this spring.

On Wednesday, October 10, the senior class officers received approval from the Old Rochester Regional School Committee to hold their prom at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Chatham.

“It takes an hour-and-a-half to get there,” said Senior Class President Abby Hiller. “Once they arrive, they’ll definitely realize it is totally worth it.”

Last year, the prom was held in Newport, RI.

Hiller said the class has already raised between $7,000 and $8,000 dollars.

The senior class officers estimated that prom tickets would be $65 a piece, which they said was comparable to previous years.
