One of the town's notoriously-deteriorated roads is getting a facelift Tuesday.

Paving on Oliver's Lane, which connects to Old Mattapoisett Neck Road, will start at 6:30 a.m. According to Highway Surveyor Barry Denham the work will last one day, with the exception of paving and repaving of driveway entrances.

Denham also said the project has been in the works since the summer and will cost around $50,000. The funds come from the Chapter 90 Program, which allots state money for the repair of town roads. Travel may be restricted.
