Opening day has finally come for the 29 teams that make up Old Rochester Little League.

Players ranging from ages four to 12 gathered at Marion's Island Wharf to make the short trek up Front Street. From there, they took a sharp right onto Main Street to wind up at the fields behind Marion's Town House.

The parade kicked off just after 9 a.m., with players arriving even moments before the procession began.

Friends and family lined the streets on the sunny morning, as the players were given a police escort to the Town House, where food and drinks awaited them.
