ORR High School art students honored by Boston Globe
With its Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the Boston Globe has honored eight Old Rochester Regional High School art students for their recent work.
The Gold Key Award for excellence in art was presented to Kylie Faison for her charcoal drawing entitled, "Stairway." Marisa Paknis also earned a Gold Key Award for her charcoal self-portrait.
Silver key awards were presented to Jacob Rioux for his pen and ink drawing titled, "Side Door Hall," and Nancy Pope for her charcoal landscape drawing titled, "Tree Portrait." Art students receiving an honorable mention for their works were, Madeline Meyer, Jacob Rioux, and Andrew Cardwell.
The award recipients are named annually by a panel of judges.
Gold and Silver Key Award winners' works will be on exhibit until April 19 at the State Transportation Building located at 10 Park Plaza in Boston.
