New Playgrounds at Washburn Park and Point Road are now open. The construction was completed within a week. The playgrounds were built with funds secured by a grant applied for by the Marion Recreation Department. Community Preservation Act funds were also used. The Marion Department of Public Works assisted the department to build the playgrounds.
