Dec. 3 – The Friends of Plumb Library are holding their annual Holiday Fair from 10-3 p.m. There will be a silent auction offering handmade items, gift baskets and gift certificates, a bake sale, the Rochester Historical Society selling shirts and books on local history, essential oils, Pampered Chef, Avon and a visit from author Nancy Cote. There will be entertainment throughout the day, including a visit from Santa from 11-12:30 p.m.
Dec. 16 – The Just the Facts nonfiction book discussion group will discuss “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth” by Reza Aslan at 6:30 p.m. The book balances the Jesus of the Gospels against historical record of the time, and Aslan describes the many contradictions of the story of Jesus.
