Presidential primary voting today
Tri-town voters will head to the polls today to cast ballots in the presidential primary.
Among a crowded Republican field, billionaire Donald Trump is the frontrunner as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Ohio Gov. John Kasich seek to gather momentum.
In the Democratic race, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders are in a close contest for their party’s nomination.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
In Marion, voting takes place at the Benjamin D. Cushing VFW Post on Mill Street.
Mattapoisett residents will cast their ballots at Old Hammondtown School, at the end of Shaw Street off of Route 6.
The Rochester polls are located at the town’s Council of Aging at 67 Dexter Lane.
