MARION — A state-wide transportation infrastructure bill could bring over $100,000 to Marion for projects like improvements to roads, bridges, and sidewalks.

The $300 million bill will include $200 million for renovations and repairs for roads and bridges and $100 million to help fix small bridges and traffic bottlenecks, as well as improving electric vehicle and public transportation infrastructure around the Commonwealth.

Under the Senate bill, Marion would be awarded $107,701, according to State Senator Marc R. Pacheco (D-Taunton).

“I am very pleased that we in the Senate have approved legislation that will provide communities in the district I represent valuable resources to repair local roadways and address a variety of local transportation infrastructure needs,” said Pacheco.

The bill will now be sent to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

It is yet unclear how much of the state funding would go to the towns of Mattapoisett and Rochester.
