Tabor Academy will host its Fall Dance Recital on Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fireman Center for the Performing Arts at Tabor Academy, 235 Front St.

This year the dance team is 23 strong They will perform five hip hop routines, a theater routine to “Money” from “Cabaret” and  a ballet excerpt from “Paquita”, a contemporary and a flamenco style tap routine. There will be many solos and duets.

Outside studios performing with Tabor students include Turning Pointe, a studio that is competing in the youth American Grand Prix, a prestigious ballet and contemporary competition in Boston and Wareham’s Kaleidoscope.

Last year was one of the strongest years yet for Tabor’s dance team. The team attended three competitions and won first place awards at each. At the largest competition, Starpower in Rhode Island, the team secured its place in the world championships for its hip hop routine.

The event is free and open to the public.
