Although the rain started coming down at the same time the annual Mattapoisett Halloween Parade was set to begin, costumed kids still got to promenade!
Sponsored by the Police Department, officers ushered residents into the Center School gym.
"Welcome to a wet Halloween!" said Capt. Anthony Days.
Days then led each age group in a mini parade around the gym while judges chose their favorite costumes. Winners got prizes donated by local businesses, but everyone got to bring home a bag of candy.
