MARION — The Marion Council on Aging has launched a book club that will meet beginning Wednesday, Feb. 21.

The club will meet monthly at 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.

The Book Club is organized and led by the Friends of the Elizabeth Taber Library. The February selection is “The Book of Charlie: Wisdom from the Remarkable American Life of a 109-Year-Old-Man,” by David Von Drehle.

“This recent best-seller will provide much grist for thoughtful discussion, not only about the subject’s long and productive life, but about how we all have experienced life,” according to the Friends of the Elizabeth Taber Library. “The book also relates Charlie’s experiences to the remarkable changes in American life over the past 100 years.”

Books and a sign-up sheet will be available at the Marion Council on Aging. The group will be limited to ten participants.
