Reading disorder training starts in fall

Aug 3, 2013

Starting Sept. 14, The Sally Borden Program at Friends Academy of Dartmouth will offer training in the Orton-Gillingham Reading Program. The approach teaches children and adults with dyslexia or reading disorders how to read. Orton-Gillingham offers systematic, structured, and multisensory reading instruction that is highly successful and geared to the specific reading needs of each child. The program is open to tri-town residents.

This course occurs during eight sessions this fall: Sept. 14 and 15; Sept. 20 and 21; Oct. 18 and 19; and Nov. 2 and 3. For more information and sign-up, call Friends Academy at 508-999-1356 ext. 1143 or visit the Friends Academy website at www.friendsacademy1810.org.
