Recreation league hosts annual awards dinner

On April 11, Marion Recreation held their 40th Annual Basketball Awards Night. The Grizzlies were the champions of the boy’s league and the Lynx were the girl’s league champions. All players received medals and certificates.

Team awards were presented to the following: Fever - most improved to Sydney DaSilva, coach’s award to Delaney Soucy, most valuable player to Hannah MacDougall; Hawks – most improved to Robert Ramsey, coach’s award to Tucker Guard, most valuable player to Jo Riley; Shock – most improved to Marleigh Hemphill, coach’s award to Janey Rego, most valuable player to Maya Doonan; Celtics – most improved to Noah Brady, coach’s award to Finn McCain, most valuable player to Nick Snow; Mercury – most improved to Cassandra Ouellette, coach’s award to Taylor Swoish, most valuable player to Cassidy Bart; Lakers – most improved to William Garcia, coach’s award to Matthew Lavoie, most valuable player to Geoffrey Noonan; Liberty – most improved to Ellie Whitney, coach’s award to Kinsley Dickerson, most valuable player to Jillian Kutash; Grizzlies – most improved to Adam Mendes, coach’s award to Max Brulport, most valuable player to Jack Marvel; Lynx – most improved to Ansley Rivera, coach’s award to Abby Horan, most valuable player to Tali O’Leary,

League awards were also presented: Boy’s League Sportsmanship to Jack Marvel and Boy’s League most valuable player to Geoffrey Noonan.

Girl’s League Sportsmanship to Michaela Mattson and Girl’s League most valuable player to Tali O’Leary.
