The last day to register to vote and/or change a party affiliation for the Massachusetts State Primary is Friday, Aug. 19. The town clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on that day.

The polls will be open for the state primary on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Old Hammondtown School, located at 20 Shaw St. Absentee ballots are available at the town clerk’s office during normal business hours.

Voter registration status can be accessed through the town clerk’s page at www.mattapoisett.net. Click on a link to the Secretary of State’s website to register to vote or check your voter status.
