Rochester Country Fair will celebrate 'the American farmer'
Rochester's annual Country Fair is back, and this year it is celebrating American agriculture. This year's theme is "a tribute to the American farmer."
The three day fair will run August 18-20. Events include a cow milking contest, tractor pulls, the yearly woodsman show, a reptile show, pie eating contest, demonstration from the Southcoast Working Dogs group, and a parade on Sunday morning.
On Sunday, August 20, the fair will provide "quiet time" for children with disabilities or sensory issues. The quiet hour will run from 8-9:30 a.m. Families arriving for quiet hour may enter through Gate C.
According to the Country Fair's Facebook page, activities available during quiet hour will include a petting zoo, bubbles, sailboat making and coloring.
