Rochester police to hold first annual ‘Christmas Cruiser Illumination Celebration’
Event Date:
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Police Department will be holding a “Christmas Cruiser Illumination Celebration,” the first of its kind in town.
The celebration will be Friday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. at the police department, 29 Dexter Lane.
The event will be an “evening of holiday cheer, community spirit, and giving back to those in need,” an announcement said.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or new, unopened pet food to donate to the community.
“Your generosity will help spread joy and create lasting memories for those who may be facing challenges this holiday season,” the announcement said.
The celebration will feature the lighting of a police cruiser, festive music, holiday refreshments and “opportunities to connect with your local heroes and fellow community members,” according to the announcement.
“Let’s come together to celebrate the spirit of the season and make a positive impact on our community,” the announcement said. “We encourage everyone to participate and help us light up the holiday season with love and generosity.”
