The Rochester Police Department will be conducting a child seat check up event at Plumb Corner Mall in the center of Rochester on September 14.

The purpose of the event is to educate parents on proper installation of their existing child car seat and to make sure that the seat is up-to-date and safe.

New seats will be available to those who currently have seats that are out of date or that are deemed unsafe. The check-up event will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
