Having received no response to his public records request for maintenance records at Rochester Memorial School, Rochester Selectman Richard Nunes is prepared to take the matter to the state.

Last month, Nunes submitted a public records request to Superintendent Doug White. Nunes said he was concerned that repairs at the elementary school were not being promptly addressed by school officials.

White has yet to respond to the request, Nunes said on Monday.

“At this point, I’d like Town Counsel to follow up and find out if there is a response. If there is no response, I want to file a complaint with the Secretary of State’s office,” Nunes said.

Nunes said Town Counsel Blair Bailey would reach out to White and Rochester Memorial School Principal Dr. Moira Rodgers this week.
