ROCHESTER – The Rochester Police Department welcomed a new police officer on Monday, June 5. 

Amin Lakhal of South Middleboro has served in the United States National Guard as a Military Police Officer and will be graduating from the Municipal Police Training Committee Police Academy within the next two weeks, said Rochester Police Chief Robert Small.

“He’ll already have the academy [training],” said Small. “He’ll be ready to go pretty quickly [and] it’ll be great for us to fill that spot pretty quickly.”

He will be equipped and undergo field training with the Rochester Police Department following his graduation from the academy, said Small.
