A Rochester woman was treated for serious injuries following a two-car collision in Marion at the intersection of Spring Street and Well’s Road on Thursday morning.

Catherine MacGregor, 50, of Rochester was treated by Marion Fire/EMS and transported to Tobey Hospital after being ejected from her 2009 Jeep. The Jeep rolled over after being hit by a 1997 Toyota driven by Ernest Campos, 83, of Fairhaven, according to police reports.

Police determined the collision occurred due to the Toyota’s failure to stop at the stop sign. Campos refused medical treatment at the scene. Campos was issued a citation for failure to slow at an intersection and failure to stop at a stop sign, according to police reports.

Officer Anthony DiCarlo is investigating the incident.
