Rochester Women's Club scholarship dance held May 4

Apr 16, 2013

In 1945, The Rochester Women’s Club started the Raymond C. Hartley Scholarship in memory of a Rochester boy who lost his life in World War II. Throughout the years, many youngsters have been recipients of this annual scholarship. After a hiatus of several years, the club is reviving scholarship awards for the graduating class of 2013.  Members are also reviving a tradition of dances as fundraisers.

The first Scholarship Dance will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, May 4 at the Redmen’s Hall, Main Street, Wareham. Music will be provided by local band, The Relics. Refreshments will be available.

Tickets cost $10 per person and are available from Rochester Women’s Club members or by calling Ann Cambra at 508-763-2688.
