"Romantic Fools" coming to Marion Art Center in March
The Marion Art Center will provide "Romantic Fools," a comic vaudeville revue by playwright Rich Orloff and directed by Sheila Furtado on March 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24.
The play consists of 11 two-character sketches examining love, lust, dating, and romance—from a date with a caveman to the joys of dull love-making.
With influences of Monty Python, Saturday Night Live, Jules Feiffer, the Marx Brothers and classic vaudeville comedy, these sketches vary in style but all celebrate the inherent hilarity of male-female relationships.
Take note: this show is for adults only.
Tickets are $10 for Art Center members and $12.50 for non-members.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. for March 16, 17, 23, and 24; and 4 p.m. for March 18. Reservations can be made at 508-748-1266.
The show will feature real-life married couples Kim & Richard Teves, Mary & Brad Cardwell and Holly & John Ashley. Also featured are Marion Art Center favorites Nancy Sparklin, Jay Ryan, Jamie Alves and newcomers Justine Brown, and Gregory Ruf.
