Run, swim, ride with Buzzards Bay Coalition
The Buzzards Bay Coalition will continue it's three annual outdoor events to get people in nature while also raising funds to protect the bay and its watershed.
Swim on June 25: The Buzzards Bay Swim begins in New Bedford and ends up in Fairhaven. More swimmers are still needed. Anyone who can swim 40 laps in a pool, can do the 1.2-mile swim Sign up at www.savebuzzardsbay.org/swim.
Run on Aug. 21: The Coalition will field a team for the Falmouth Road Race. Earn a spot by committing to the $1,000 fundraising minimum (to benefit the Coalition) and email the organization to say why you’re passionate about “Running for Buzzards Bay” at events@savebuzzardsbay.org.
Ride on Oct. 2: The 10th anniversary Watershed Ride has 100-, 75-, 35- and 10-mile options, though slots for the 100-mile option are going quickly. The ride goes through Little Compton, Rhode Island, Westport and the tri-town, ending up at Woods Hole with a party. Sign up to bike around the Bay at www.savebuzzardsbay.org/ride.
