Scouts thankful for fundraising support
This past Sunday, Jan. 12 Marion Cub Scout Pack 32, through the tremendous support of Jody Dickerson and the Marion Recreational Department, held an open ice skate at Tabor Academy to help raise funds for the town’s Cub Scouts. The Cub Scouts would like to thank the more than 250 people who came out to skate and to show their support for the Pack!
In addition to the skate, the Cub Scouts also sold goodies handmade by the Cub Scout families at a bake sale. The Cub Scouts would like to send a special thanks to two local businesses that are strong supporters of the Cub Scouts, Uncle Jon’s Coffee & Cafe and The Kool Kone. The Kool Kone and Uncle Jon’s Coffee & Cafe donated assorted chips, and coffee and hot cocoa respectively to the fundraising effort.
Thanks again to all Cubs and parents and everyone who donated time and effort, thanks to Jody Dickerson and the Marion Recreation Department, Uncle Jon’s and The Kool Kone!
