To celebrate the Boston Marathon and the efforts of all runners, Mattapoisett's own marathon man, Don Cuddy, will be speaking at the Mattapoisett Library on Thursday, April 17 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Cuddy has run in more than 50 marathons, both in the United States and abroad. He will talk about the experience of running and training, and about running and finishing the 2013 Boston Marathon. More than two dozen of his medals and marathon shirts are on display in the library. Stop by and ask questions about last year's event in Boston, and hear about what it takes to be a long distance runner.
