A Rochester Special Town Meeting is set for May 19 at 6:45 p.m.

The deadline to submit warrant articles to Selectmen for that meeting is Thursday, April 10.

Selectmen scheduled the Special Town Meeting 15 minutes before the town’s Annual Town Meeting, set for the same day at 7 p.m. in Rochester Memorial School’s auditorium.

Select Chair Naida Parker said the April 10 deadline gives residents time to gather signatures for proposed warrant articles. She spoke at the board’s Monday night meeting. Selectmen will vote to approve those articles at the board’s April 14 meeting.
