MARION — Registration for the Senior Work-Off Abatement program will be on Oct. 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Community Center at 465 Mill Street.

This program allows taxpayers to provide services to the town in exchange for a reduction in their tax bill.

To Qualify for this program, participants must be Marion homeowners over the age of 60. Only one resident per property may participate.

Hourly compensation is based on the state minimum wage, and may not exceed $750.

Participants must bring a copy of Photo I.D., a copy of their current tax bill, and a copy of trust if applicable to sign up.
