MARION — The South Coast Children’s Chorus is welcoming new singers for the upcoming season, which begins on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The chorus’ mission is to provide a joyful, educational choral experience for young singers and help them develop responsibility, confidence, musicianship and a passion for excellence.

Open to students from first through 12th grade, tuition is $125 for the year. There is also free or reduced tuition for any singer who requests it.

The first rehearsal will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 16, with new singers accepted during the first three weeks.

Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday nights from 5:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. for the Preparatory Chorus and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Advanced Chorus.

Rehearsals will take place at Tabor Academy in the Fireman Center for the Performing Arts, which is located 245 Front Street.
